About Kopblog

Kopblog is written by Gerry Ormonde a proud lifelong Reds fan from Dublin.

Kopblog was founded and launched in Spring 2003, with an initial Kopblogger updating and entertaining fans on events surrounding their beloved Liverpool FC.

After two years our original blogger, Liam Randles, no longer had time to update the blog frequently and so the decision was made to create a double act with two TIA Forumites taking on a new joint blog. Irish duo Gerry Ormonde and Andy Harvey supplied their contrasting views and debates in a comical yet insightful way thus giving Kopblog a huge fanbase and somewhat of a cult status among the cyber world of LFC!

gerryIn summer 2006 Gerry took over the sole running of Kopblog and in September we re-launched with a brand new look and design to the site – with the same uniqueness and entertainment of old!

In May 2008, Kopblog was crowned Best Football Blog for 2007-08 in the Football Fanzine Awards, picture shows Gerry with the award. The award proves Kopblog really is “the blog’s dollocks’.

In February 2009, Kopblog’s trophy room became the envy of Evertonian’s worldwide as Gerry scooped Best Sport and Recreation in the Irish Blog Awards 2009.

Despite living in Dublin, Gerry still gets across to Anfield a few times a season to watch the Reds play.
