The last international break arrived when Liverpool were in-form and having just beat Derby 6-0 at Anfield, this break comes after a poor run of form and immediately before the Merseyside derby at Goodison Park. Reds fans will be hoping the effect of this interruption will be positive.
The Reds go across Stanley Park for the 12:45 kick off against David Moyes’ side and could be boosted by the possible return of Daniel Agger and Xabi Alonso. Of the two, Alonso apparently is the more likely to be fit after both suffered broken metatarsals.
