Liverpool vs Bolton
2 Dec | Anfield | Premier League

Back to domestic duty for Rafa’s in-form heroes and a visit from Bolton, who are fresh off the back of defeating Manchester United at the Reebok Stadium last Saturday.

Liverpool will be looking for victory to keep the pressure on Premier League leaders Arsenal, and could close the gap on second place United.

Bolton snatched a last minute equaliser in their Uefa Cup match on Thursday night at the Reebok courtesy of Stelios, while Liverpool also had a ‘late show’ in their emphatic 4-1 win over Porto on Wednesday night.

Reds - Wanderers Connections

guthrieIn-form Wanderers midfielder Danny Guthrie (pictured) — on loan from Liverpool for the season — will miss the match as he cannot play against the club he is registered to. Guthrie was man of the match in their win against United and has been in impressive form under new boss Gary Megson.

Bolton also have two former Liverpool forwards in El Hadji Diouf and Nicolas Anelka.

Last Season

New Year’s Day kicked off in style with Peter Crouch recreating his overhead kick against Galatasaray against Wanderers in an enjoyable 3-0 win. [Match Report]

Bolton
