Liverpool vs Wigan
Weds. Jan 2nd | Anfield | Premier League

Liverpool begin the new year by welcoming Wigan Athletic to Anfield on January 2nd, kick off at 8pm.

Earlier in the season Liverpool scraped past Wigan at the JJB Stadium, Yossi Benayoun coming off the bench to score the only goal of the game.

Last season in the corresponding fixture the home team won 2-0 courtesy of two goals from Dirk Kuyt - a similar result would be welcome after the 0-0 draw with Man City, as would Kuyt returning to scoring ways.
