The fixtures for the forthcoming 2009/10 season were released this morning, with Liverpool beginning the campaign away once again, to Sunderland - Liverpool haven’t had an opening day fixture at home since 2003.

The Reds face rivals Man United just four games into the season, at Anfield on September 13th. Two games later they travel to Goodison for the first derby of the season.

Liverpool finish the season at home to Tottenham on May 24th. The last away game is West Brom.
