Liverpool look set to beat Chelsea, Real Madrid, Manchester City and Manchester United to the signing of French international striker Franck Ribery, according to reports.
This morning’s Telegraph newspaper says Reds boss Rafa Benitez is preparing a big money bid for the 26-year-old and bookmakers have made Liverpool favourites to capture his signature.
His current club, Bayern Munich are keen on keeping him but may be forced to sell if offers are too tempting.
Ribery has scored 20 goals in 53 games for Bayern Munich, and 7 goals in 38 games for France.
