Carson is currently on a season loan to Aston Villa.
He was signed from Leeds United in 2005 for ₤1m.
Carson spent the 2006-07 season on loan to Charlton Atheltic where he impressed but couldn’t prevent them being relegated, despite several man of the match performances.
In late 2007 he signalled his intentions to leave Liverpool in order to get regular first team football elsewhere and therefore establish himself as England’s number one goalkeeper.
Liverpool are set to make 10 times profit by selling him to Villa in Janaury 2008.
