Liverpool could be set to make a move to bring Tunisian international defender Hatern Trabelsi to Anfield this summer with the transfer of Sevilla’s Daniel Alves now looking uncertain.
Reports in the press today suggest that Reds manager Rafael Benitez has been impressed by Trabelsi’s performances in the World Cup whilst playing for his country. The added fact that he is available on a free transfer from Ajax has also prompted speculation surrounding the right-back and a move to the Premiership.
It is thought that a number of Premiership clubs are interested in signing the 29-year-old, and his agent was quoted in the Daily Express today as saying, “I get calls from English clubs every day. Hatem wants to play in the Champions League and he is leaving Holland.”
