Away form specialists Portsmouth arrive at Anfield on Saturday with Liverpool desperately needing a win to keep their season on track after two consecutive League defeats and having gone out of the Carling Cup on Wednesday.
Portsmouth have the best away record in the Premiership, having won 6 of their 9 away games this season and go into the game level on points with Rafa Benitez’s side who occupy fifth and seventh spots in the League.
Harry Redknapp’s team have the in-form Sulley Muntari as their main threat, but they did lose their last outing – at home to Spurs last weekend.
Benitez will be hoping captain Steven Gerrard will be fit to return from sickness and Torres, Reina, Hyypia and Mascherano should all return after being rested at Stamford Bridge.
