Tottenham Hotspur have made an informal enquiry about the availability of Liverpool striker Robbie Keane, according to Sky Sports.
With four days left of the January transfer window and Keane looking out-of-favour with Reds manager Rafa Benitez, it is thought Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has enquired about taking the Republic of Ireland striker back to White Hart Lane.
Reports earlier in the week suggested Spurs were lining up a player swap plus cash bid for Keane involving either Jermaine Jenas or Aaron Lennon.
Keane was kept on the bench until the 81st minute during last night’s 1-1 draw at Wigan, after being left out of the squad completely for Sunday’s FA Cup clash at home to Everton.
Keane signed for Liverpool from Spurs last summer for £20.3million.
