Terry says Chelsea must improve for Liverpool test

Chelsea captain John Terry says he is not worried by his side’s recent results, but knows they must step their game up for the visit of Liverpool this Sunday.

The Blues lost their first game of their Premier League campaign to Wigan last Saturday, followed by a below-par performance in a 1-0 win at Apoel Nicosia in the Champions League on Wednesday.

And Terry says he knows they can expect a much sterner test from Rafa Benitez’s men at Stamford Bridge this weekend.

Speaking after their narrow win in Cyprus, the England international said, “It was important that we realised we went wrong at Wigan and that we responded well.

“But we have to be better against Liverpool, who are a very good side. They will be up for it and they are a big club.

Chelsea vs Liverpool kicks off at 4pm this Sunday, 4th October and is live on Sky Sports.
