Liverpool are keen on acquiring the services of Barcelona attacker Christian Tello, according to Spanish newspaper Marca.
The Reds have been linked with the 21-year-old before, with Spanish football pundit Guillem Balague last Spring stating the Reds were favourites to land him.
However, Barcelona seemed reluctant to sell Tello last summer, going on to make 19 appearances in La Liga this season for the Catalan giants, scoring 7 times.
Tello signed a new deal with Barcelona in December until June 2016, however his first team appearances have started to limit during the second half of this campaign.
Marca suggest that whilst Tello has no desire to leave the Nou Camp, he is still waiting for confirmation that he has a future amongst the first team under Tito Vilanova.
Barcelona have loaned out highly rated Isaac Cuenca to Ajax this season. If he returns Catalunya, Marca suggest Tello’s services may no longer be required.
Tello is yet to play for the Spanish national side, though has appeared for Spain’s U23, U21, U20 and U19 sides.
