Exciting Brazilian talent Philippe Coutinho took 48% of your votes to be named the first This Is Anfield Man of the Match for the 2013/14 campaign.
Liverpool ran out 4-0 winners against League One side Preston North End on Saturday afternoon thanks to goals from Coutinho, Jordan Ibe, Raheem Sterling and Iago Aspas.
Coutinho showed more of the dazzling and tricky runs and brilliantly executed passes that made him an instant fans’ favourite last season following his move from Inter Milan in January.
The 21-year-old played the first half of the game, whilst new signings Simon Mignolet, Kolo Toure, Luis Alberto and Aspas all made first appearances for the club.

Coutinho was on hand to put away Liverpool’s first from the penalty spot on 14 minutes after he had been brought down in the area by former Reds youth player John Welsh.
