The game has been confirmed for Wednesday, 2nd December, with a 7.45pm kick-off. It will be shown live on Sky Sports in the UK.

The match takes place between league games against Swansea City (home) and Newcastle United (away).

The two sides played out a 1-1 draw at Anfield last week in Jurgen Klopp‘s first home league game in charge of the Reds.

It will be the 21st League Cup quarter final Liverpool have been involved in, having progressed in 15 of the previous 20.

Last season Liverpool lost in the semi-final against Chelsea.

With Chelsea, Man United and Arsenal all having exited the competition this week, Klopp will have an eye on collecting his first piece of silverware in the competition.
