Jurgen Klopp ‘contacts Kylian Mbappe’s agent’ as Liverpool pursue French teenager

Liverpool were linked with an ambitious move for French teenager Kylian Mbappe last month, and it’s now claimed Jurgen Klopp has made contact with the player’s agent.

The 18-year-old is subject to interest from a host of Europe’s top clubs and Monaco have reportedly rejected an £87 million bid from Arsenal already this summer.

It’s claimed that the French wonderkid, who Liverpool were first linked with in February 2016, will be subject of a bid of over £100 million from Real Madrid this summer.

The claim comes from the Daily Mail‘s Liverpool correspondent, Dominic King, having earlier been claimed by French newspaper L’Equipe.

Mbappe scored 24 and assisted 11 goals in all competitions for Monaco last season. His current contract runs until 2019.

Reports of Liverpool’s interest seems very ambitious, and a move to Merseyside seems extremely unlikely.
