Jurgen Klopp has named two lineups for Liverpool’s first pre-season clash away to Tranmere Rovers, with Jordan Henderson among those starting.
As is customary during early summer friendlies, the Reds are set to line up differently in each half, providing all of Klopp’s players valuable minutes.
This allows fringe players to impress, or put themselves in the shop window, while key names will be looking to improve their match fitness ahead of the 2017/18 campaign.
For the first half, Klopp has named a strong starting lineup, including the fit-again Henderson.
Loris Karius begins the game in goal, behind a back four of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joel Matip, Lucas Leiva and James Milner.
In midfield, Henderson is joined by Marko Grujic and Georginio Wijnaldum, supporting a forward line of Sheyi Ojo, Roberto Firmino and Daniel Sturridge.
Nathaniel Clyne, Lazar Markovic and new signing Dominic Solanke are among those set to come on for the second half, as Klopp shuffles his pack against Micky Mellon’s Tranmere.
Mohamed Salah is unavailable however, while he finalises his work permit, along with Adam Lallana, Philippe Coutinho and Sadio Mane.
First-Half XI: Karius; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Lucas, Milner; Henderson, Grujic, Wijnaldum; Ojo, Firmino, Sturridge
Second-Half XI: Karius; Clyne, Gomez, Klavan, Flanagan; Stewart, Chirivella, Woodburn; Markovic, Kent, Solanke
