The Reds returned to the historic scene of European Cup triumphs No. 1 & No. 4 looking to keep dreams of winning their sixth alive and kicking.
It is now just one step from reality after Jurgen Klopp’s side booked their final spot eventually coming out on top of the highest-scoring semi-final in Champions League history.
The travelling Kop were in great numbers and fine voice in the away end which was decorated with all the usual magnificent banners—and a special one for Sean Cox.
A crazy night got off to the perfect start when Sadio Mane finished a counter-attack, turning Roma’s task from improbable to impossible.

An unlucky own goal from James Milner levelled the score and gave the hosts hope, but daylight was restored as Gini Wijnaldum headed his first away goal for the Reds. What a time to get it!
Edin Dzeko made it 2-2 just after half-time before Radja Nainggolan ensured of a nervy finish with a quick-fire brace in the final five minutes.
But Klopp’s men held on to reach an eighth European Cup final, prompting fantastic scenes of celebration with the whole squad at the final whistle.

A couple of Liverpool legends joined in, with some fantastic memories of their own no doubt rekindled by the amazing scenes.
Celebrations will go on long into the night both in Rome and at home as Kopites continue to dream of a sensational sixth European Cup success.
