How Roberto Firmino can break Liverpool and Premier League records vs. Arsenal today

Liverpool host Arsenal in the Premier League this evening (5.30pm BST) looking to maintain their 100 percent record. Here are all the key stats ahead of kickoff.

Firmino’s Incredible Records

Roberto Firmino has found the net six times in his last five games against the Gunners. His hat-trick in this encounter last season is his only one for the Reds.

He has scored more goals against Arsenal than against any other team (eight in eight outings).

Two goals for the Brazilian will see him become the club’s most prolific league scorer against today’s opponents. Gordon Hodgson and Robbie Fowler (nine each) have one more than him.

He will become the first Brazilian to score 50 Premier League goals if he nets once today.

Liverpool have now won 11 league games in a row—equalling their Premier League record.

A victory today will see them match their all-time club league record of 12 which was set from April to October 1990.

Last season saw Liverpool score four or more goals against the Gunners in successive home league encounters for the first time since 1922.

They have never done so three seasons in a row.

Liverpool have scored 191 league goals against Arsenal at Anfield. Only against Aston Villa (201) have they netted more at home.

The Reds have scored at least three goals in six of the last seven league meetings.

At Anfield in this era, Liverpool have recorded 13 victories, drawing eight and losing six.

The Reds have won four of the last six meetings and are unbeaten in the last eight, with four victories and four draws.

They have not gone unbeaten in nine successive league fixtures against the Gunners since February 2000 which came in a sequence of 12.
