Sadio Mane’s 50 Premier League goals highlights his superb qualities

Sadio Mane reached the milestone of 50 Premier League goals for Liverpool at the weekend—and you can watch each one back here in a brilliant video montage.

A fine run and finish from the inside-left channel was pretty much vintage Mane, and his strike helped the Reds beat Leicester and go eight points clear at the top of the table.

It also meant he became just the tenth player to reach that 50-marker in the Premier League era for the Reds, with a goals-to-games ratio of one every other appearance, a quite superb show of consistency considering he’s not a centre-forward.

Mane already has five for the season in league play and, of course, jointly won the Golden Boot last season alongside team-mate Mo Salah and Arsenal‘s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

He’s still improving and becoming more consistent in front of goal, too—a scary prospect for the rest of the league.

Mane’s 50 goals for Liverpool contains plenty of memorable strikes: from his maiden solo effort against Arsenal, to a real thunderbolt effort against Burnley and a fearsome hit against Man City.

There’s massive variance in his goals, too.

Headed efforts come with impressive regularity, he has plenty of close-range strikes thanks to his penchant for following up chances and getting himself in the six-yard box, and he’s often on hand when the Reds need him most.

A last-minute winner at Goodison Park, another against Crystal Palace and a chest-and-volley effort against Man United will also live long in the memory—as will a cheeky backheeled goal against Watford.

Liverpool’s No. 10 is one of the finest players on the planet right now; 50 goals down in the league, but plenty more still to come.
