Ajax defeat Barca to set-up Euro semi with Liverpool

Ajax have defeated Barcelona 3-0 to set-up a semi-final tie with Liverpool in the NextGen tournament.

The Dutch side will travel to Merseyside for the semi-final after Liverpool were reinstated to the competition when Tottenham withdrew after admitting fielding an ineligible player in their quarter final win. [Spurs’ withdrawal puts young Reds into Euro semi-final]

Forward Viktor Fischer scored twice as Fred Grim’s side caused an upset to beat Barca at Mini Estadi.

The date for the semi-final is yet to be set, the venue is expected to be Anfield.

Inter Milan and Marseille will contest the other semi-final.
