At Liverpool’s press conference ahead of the clash against Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday, Brendan Rodgers gave an update on the imminent signing of Turkish international Nuri Sahin.
Rodgers told press that all the paperwork has been completed regarding Sahin’s season-long loan deal to Anfield from Real Madrid, and that the club are hoping to have everything tied up in the next 24 hours.
Liverpool look to have beaten Arsenal to the signing of the dynamic midfielder who Rodgers says he regards highly “and is a wonderful player, both technically and tactically.”
Reports last night suggested the loan deal includes a £14million option to buy Sahin permanently at the end of the season.
