The result moves Liverpool up to second, and the Reds could go top with a victory over Cardiff City at Anfield next Saturday lunchtime.
Goals from Luis Suarez (2), Jordan Henderson, Jon Flanagan and Raheem Sterling sunk Spurs, with a superb, strong performance throughout the 90 minutes from Liverpool.
