Anfield’s new Main Stand construction is beginning to overlook the local area as construction enters an impressive phase.
Last week two of the UK’s largest cranes arrived in Liverpool, ahead of lifting a 650 tonne roof truss over Anfield.
The huge roof truss will be lifted into place over the coming week, meaning that when the Reds’ first home game takes place on August 17th against Bournemouth the new stand’s huge size will be in full view.
Work will then continue during the season behind the existing Main Stand, with the work completed next summer ahead of the 2016/17 season, adding 8,500 seats to Anfield’s capacity.
