Liverpool have received two offers for the transfer of Ben Doak, with a Premier League side reportedly close to striking a deal for the teenager.
The 19-year-old could feasibly act as depth for Liverpool’s forward options this season but his future at Anfield has never been guaranteed, and he has not been short of interest.
Wolves, West Ham, Nottingham Forest, Everton, Brentford, PSV Eindhoven and Bournemouth have been named as suitors throughout the summer, and the latter “are now leading the race.”
That is according to the Mail‘s Lewis Steele, who reports on X that the Cherries have “made a decent proposal” for Doak, who is said to be valued around £30 million.
Journalist Ben Jacobs, adds that Bournemouth “are close to an agreement with Liverpool” for a deal worth in the region of £25 million.
The Premier League side have not been the only club at the negotiating table, with Porto also described as having tabled “a good offer” for Doak.

The interest will have offered Liverpool a strong position in negotiations with two clubs seeking to agree a deal, but the player’s preference will have influenced any talks.
And it appears only a matter of time before a switch to the south coast, with Times‘ Paul Joyce reporting Doak has since been withdrawn from the squad for Friday’s game against the Cherries.
Andoni Iraola’s side are currently in the midst of selling winger Dango Ouattara to Brentford in a deal worth £42.5 million, which is to create a domino effect in the forward market.
Yoane Wissa will subsequently be expected to join Newcastle and Liverpool will hope that then signals a positive end to their bid to sign Alexander Isak.
Liverpool could look to insert a buy-back clause, or even a sell-on clause, in any deal they agree for Doak, as they have done for the likes of Jarell Quansah and Tyler Morton this summer.
Doak featured four times throughout pre-season, playing 220 minutes, but his role in the second-string side against Athletic Club signalled he is on the periphery of Arne Slot‘s plans.
An exit for the 19-year-old would reduce Liverpool’s attacking options further after deals for Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz, with Slot already saying he needs “at least” one more attacker.
Any sale of Doak will represent pure profit on Liverpool’s books as he joined as a youth player, which has also been the case for Trent Alexander-Arnold, Caoimhin Kelleher, Quansah, Morton and Nat Phillips this summer.
