Liverpool were busy setting themselves up for the future with statement signings in the transfer window, but two defenders are currently set to become free agents next summer.
Liverpool started Arne Slot‘s first season with a big cloud hanging over their head, but they agreed contract extensions with Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah.
It was not the case for Trent Alexander-Arnold, and now Ibrahima Konate could follow in his footsteps with a resolution over his future still yet to be forthcoming.
Talks are also needed for Andy Robertson, with the recently appointed vice-captain out of contract next summer – he did consider the possibility of leaving before the 2025/26 season.
A further eight deals expire in 2027, which will not leave Liverpool’s hierarchy short on discussions when it comes to squad management.
