Liverpool hold an interest in Bournemouth‘s in-form winger Antoine Semenyo, and the Premier League champions will now know what it would take to sign him.
Bournemouth will ask for upwards of £75 million for Semenyo and there is no guarantee they will allow their leading source of goals to leave in January.
That is according to the Mail‘s Lewis Steele, following up reports of Liverpool’s interest from The i Paper‘s Mark Douglas.
Steele’s projected asking price aligns with Douglas’ report, with Bournemouth said to be seeking the same fee when Man United and Tottenham made advances in the summer.
It is explained that Liverpool had also considered a move for Semenyo in the window just gone, but kept faith in Rio Ngumoha as a genuine first-team option.

However it is increasingly clear that Arne Slot either lacks depth or faith in his current wide forwards, with Mohamed Salah and Cody Gakpo the only wingers trusted to start regularly.
Neither Ngumoha or Federico Chiesa have started in the Premier League or Champions League and Salah’s stuttering form – paired with his upcoming departure to the Africa Cup of Nations – could prompt a rethink.
Chelsea and Bayern Munich are among the other clubs credited with an interest in Semenyo, who will not be at the mid-season AFCON with Ghana failing to qualify.
It has been widely reported that the new contract he signed with Bournemouth the summer includes a release clause, though the terms of that clause are as yet unknown.

Richard Hughes‘ connections at Dean Court are viewed as a positive when it comes to any approach from Liverpool, though it is maintained that Bournemouth are in both a strong financial position as well as in the league itself.
Andoni Iraola’s side are currently fourth in the Premier League, level on points with the champions, with Semenyo scoring six goals and laying on three assists in eight games.
The negotiation of a release clause suggests that his sights are set on a move higher up the food chain in the future – and Liverpool could be the ideal destination as a long-term successor to Salah.
Semenyo has played four of his nine appearances this season on the right wing, bringing four goals and one assist, with the remaining five outings as a left winger.
