Arne Slot was due to speak to the media on the eve of Liverpool’s Champions League meeting with Eintracht Frankfurt, but his press conference has been cancelled.
Liverpool’s head coach was scheduled to face questions from members of the English and German press at 6.30pm (BST) on Tuesday night to preview the Reds’ third European match of the season.
Dominik Szoboszlai was expected to join the head coach, but the club have since announced that the press conference has been cancelled.
In an update on the club’s website, Liverpool explained that a delay to the team’s flight to Frankfurt, due to technical issues with the aircraft, meant it would not be able to take place.
The Athletic’s James Pearce reported that the squad was still in Liverpool less than 15 minutes before the press conference in Frankfurt was scheduled to start, underlining the lengthy delay.

Slot was expected to explain Ryan Gravenberch‘s absence from training after an ankle injury on Sunday, and whether an absence would extend beyond the trip to Frankfurt.
An insight into potential rotation and changes to his XI was also anticipated after the Reds succumbed to their fourth successive defeat across all competitions.
Liverpool trained at the AXA Training Centre earlier on Tuesday afternoon, with 22 players put through their paces.
Wataru Endo was involved in the session after missing Sunday’s game due to a hamstring issue, his presence will be welcomed in the absence of Gravenberch.
The club have yet to formally announce their travelling squad for the fixture, likely due to the delays, which they hope will not drag on into the night and detract from their preparations.
