Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz have both broken Liverpool’s transfer record this year, but where do they rank among the highest earners at the club?
The Reds have assembled arguably their most impressive squad in history after relative frugality in recent years.
Liverpool showed huge ambition in the summer transfer window, with Wirtz and Isak headlining the world-class additions to the title-winning side.
When it comes to wages, contrasting claims often emerge, and here we have used FBref as the source, although they stress that some estimations are unverified.
Mohamed Salah is said to be Liverpool’s highest-earning current player, taking home £400,000 per week after signing a new deal earlier this year, though reports after he signed his contract have him on £480,000 per week.
Virgil van Dijk also extended his stay at Anfield with the Reds captain in second place. Reports claimed a wage of £385,000 per week, though FBref have him receiving £350,000.
Isak‘s record £120 million move to Liverpool was a significant piece of business for the Premier League champions and the Swede (£280,000) is the Reds’ third-highest earner immediately.
Cody Gakpo (£250,000), meanwhile, is arguably a surprise in fourth place after his new deal. New signings Hugo Ekitike and Wirtz wrap up the top six, with the young pair on £200,000-a-week wages.

Liverpool stalwart Andy Robertson is out on his own on £160,000 per week, but surprisingly, Alisson is claimed to only earn £150,000.
Given his status as one of the best goalkeepers of all time, you could be forgiven for thinking his wages would be higher.
Alisson is joined on the same amount by Federico Chiesa, Alexis Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch – the latter pair will merit higher wages if they sign extensions, having become hugely important players.
Perhaps the two most eye-catching players on the list, and the ones that cast doubt over its reliability, are Ibrahima Konate and Curtis Jones.
The Frenchman is claimed to be on just £70,000 a week, while Jones is on a mere £15,000 – figures that are not in keeping with their status as first-team regulars.
In Konate’s case, the Athletic’s David Ornstein recently stated that his real wage is “more than double” the £70,000 figure, and he is seeking more during extension talks.
Rhys Williams, meanwhile, is listed as the lowest-paid senior player, receiving £10,000 a week.
