Liverpool only had themselves to blame for their fourth defeat in succession, and it left fans with an endless list of questions for Arne Slot after another clueless performance.
Does anyone know when the international break ends because Liverpool did not show up on Sunday!
The squad looked as confused as we all are watching on, attempting to figure out what the system and plan is, as currently, there is no obvious solution emerging.
Liverpool created five big chances in the 2-1 defeat to Man United and missed four of them, while they conceded five themselves as they threw away yet another result late on.
A summer of significant change was bound to create teething issues, but it looks beyond that for Liverpool, and there was plenty for supporters to discuss after the match…
Hugo Ekitike already done more in five minutes than any of #LFC's attackers. Given he's the top scorer this season, seemed bizarre to leave him out of the starting XI today and at Chelsea

No idea what Arne Slot has been thinking in international break but he is doing well this game in getting the best out of nobody. The system is not working. It’s such a disservice to the quality of players we have. So disappointing

That’s now three occasions we’d worked our way back into the game only to throw it away.
— Leanne Prescott (@_lfcleanne) October 19, 2025
Serious issues that need sorting now.

We've actually gone and lost that. That is nothing but shocking.
4 consecutive defeats. Diabolical.

A match that leaves a large number of questions unanswered as to what Slot’s overarching plan for LFC 2.0 actually is.
Having said that, the decisive factor so often today was LFC’s attacking quality failing to take the chances provided to them.

Terrible terrible result. Embarrassing. A total failure.
We're 2pts ahead of an absolute banter Manchester United side.
Ridiculous.

“Slot deserves the huge criticism that will inevitably follow. He’s done zero to tighten up the defence, zero to get Salah more into the game, either tactically or positionally, and he’s done nothing to increase the tempo or urgency in our play from the start of each match. We only see that when we go behind. Slot’s answer appears to be, when we are trailing or nothing is working, throw on loads of forwards and see what happens!
“I was expecting this season to be transitional based on the large number of signings and some inconsistent performances but not this bad especially as the main spine of the team is still there from last season.” – Lamda Pi in TIA comments.
“Why can’t Slot see what everyone else sees – that Salah is a passenger and needs to fight to get his place back in the team?
And Macca hasn’t looked fit all season – yet he starts him after a long flight, he gets a head injury, and Slot waits 60+ minutes to replace him. What is he thinking?” – PM G in TIA comments.
Tactically clueless and awful defensively again. Slot under immense pressure now…

Obviously the criticism has to be measured, but anyone denying that the manager is under serious pressure right now is delusional. You can't lose four in a row without changing anything. You can't lose at Anfield to this United team. This is now his squad. Really worrying.

Liverpool are playing extended periods of matches like they have never met and it really isn't good enough despite what we get in snatches.
— Neil Atkinson (@Knox_Harrington) October 19, 2025
Absolutely crap and we deserved nothing today. We are a dog’s dinner at the moment. No idea what the shape, pattern, idea is meant to be. Clearly, neither manager nor players know either.

Arne Slot wanted a lot of big players and get a lot of them.
What surprises me now is that he doesn't know how to use them, it looks like he didn't even want them, so weird

This was the moment that blew this game. Wirtz needed to come on but we needed two midfielders. Some basis of stability. No reason to take Bradley off and put Dom at RB. Jones didn't even stay in midfield, he was going forward constantly. No composure from coach or players. https://t.co/Q4rfJG9OxQ

Absolutely no identity. On the manager this, he doesn’t know his best team stubbornness to not bring Gakpo off, Chiesa comes on gets an assist and brings energy. Tactically a fucking mess. Unforgivable

Not since November 2014, under Brendan Rodgers, have Liverpool lost four in a row in all competitions, and the pressure is building on Slot with no clear path to improved performances in sight.
There is a lot for the head coach to fix. The late winners were thrilling when they were winners but Liverpool have had to roll the dice in nearly every match, which is far from sustainable!
We can only hope it gets better on Wednesday…
