Two Liverpool players are rated as “50-50” ahead of the weekend visit of Wolves, while a key man misses out through suspension.
Arne Slot‘s champions host their bottom-of-the-table opponents on Saturday, with anything other than three points a huge disappointment.
Liverpool have had a week without a game, which is rare at this time of year, so legs should be relatively fresh, even with the ever-growing absentee list.
Here is who could miss out for the Reds vs. Wolves:
- Conor Bradley (hamstring) – doubt – rated as “50-50”
- Cody Gakpo (muscle) – doubt – rated as “50-50”
- Ibrahima Konate (missed training) – doubt
- Dominik Szoboszlai (suspended) – unavailable
- Mo Salah (AFCON) – unavailable
- Alexander Isak (broken leg) – unavailable
- Joe Gomez (hamstring) – unavailable
- Wataru Endo (ankle) – unavailable
- Giovanni Leoni (ACL) – unavailable
- Stefan Bajcetic (hamstring) – unavailable
- Jayden Danns (hamstring) – unavailable
Salah is away on Africa Cup of Nations duty, he played his second game on Boxing Day, but in terms of the most high-profile injury absentee, Isak stands out.
Liverpool’s record signing is out for several months after suffering a broken leg in last weekend’s 2-1 win at Tottenham, he’s already undergone surgery and vowed to return as soon as possible.
“Gutted to be out for a while,” Isak wrote on Instagram.
“Time to recover and support from the sideline. I will work hard to be back as soon as I possibly can.”

Szoboszlai is out through suspension, which is a big blow, considering he has been Liverpool’s best player this season, after picking up his fifth yellow card at Tottenham.
Meanwhile, Slot has confirmed that Bradley is only “50-50” for the Wolves game, with the same applying to Gakpo.
Konate missed training on Tuesday, which is a concern, but it was hopefully precautionary and he will be passed fit.
Gomez is still missing with a hamstring injury, though, while Endo, Leoni, Bajcetic and Danns are long-term absentees.
In terms of team selection, a week off after beating Tottenham means Slot can name a similar starting lineup.
If Bradley is out, Jeremie Frimpong should start at right-back, while Szoboszlai’s suspension leaves Liverpool light in midfield, and Federico Chiesa may be the man to replace him.
