Fowler set for player-manager role

Former Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler could be on the verge of a move back into football management with Malaysian side T-Team hoping to complete a deal for him shortly.

Fowler, now 37, is currently out of contract after leaving Thai side Muangthong United in the summer.

“We are negotiating with him as we want to assess his fitness level,” Ahmad Said, chief minister of Terengganu, said. “We need to make sure he is suited for the role of striker”.

T-Team hope that Fowler will become their player-manager by the end of the week.
