Liverpool defender Daniel Agger has confirmed that he is set to end months of uncertainty over his future by signing a new deal to stay at Anfield.
Yesterday, Reds boss Rafa Benitez revealed that a deal was close to keep the Norwegian international on Merseyside, amid speculation linking him with a move to Serie A giants AC Milan.
Agger himself today spoke to Ekstra Bladet, saying, “We are close to a new deal. We have agreed about a new contract. I don’t want to talk about the new deal until it is finally signed.”
