Liverpool right-back Alvaro Arbeloa has praised teammate for club and country Xabi Alonso amid rumours linking the Spaniard with a big money exit from Anfield.
Reports in the last few days have suggested that a bidding war is about to commence between Real Madrid, Manchester City and Arsenal in an attempt to prise Alonso away from Rafa Benitez’s squad.
But Arbeloa confirmed what all Reds fans are thinking right now ‘“ Alonso is priceless.
‘œI hope he can repeat the successes of the past,” he said. “He is our key player. The whole world knows it. This year for me has been the best player for Liverpool, the most consistent.’
‘œHe is our key player, who makes us play and has improved us a lot, much more aggressive defensively. He is a very complete player.’
