On another wonderful afternoon for the club, Brendan Rodgers’ side strolled past Tim Sherwood’s Spurs, and a real sense of belief that this could finally be the Reds’ year sunk into Anfield.
A Younes Kaboul own goal just two minutes into the match after early pressure from Liverpool got the ball rolling, before Luis Suarez made it two on 25 minutes.
Philippe Coutinho‘s strike from outside the area flew past Hugo Lloris for the Reds’ third, before Jordan Henderson made amends for missing an earlier sitter with a nifty free-kick from the wing.
The result means Liverpool leapfrog Chelsea into first place in the league table, with six games left to play.
Rodgers’ men face a trip to West Ham next Sunday afternoon, before fellow title challengers Manchester City come to Anfield on Sunday, April 13th.
