Parry happy with Semi-Final scheduling

Liverpool’s Chief Executive Rick Parry has revealed that he is fairly happy with the arrangements made for the Reds’ FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea next Saturday.

Rafael Benitez’s side take on Chelsea for the fifth time this season in the semi-final being played at Old Trafford with a 5.15pm kick-off.

Parry feels that the kick-off time and location favour Liverpool fans and is looking forward to the exciting game in prospect. He told liverpoolfc.tv, ‘œMy first reaction is that I would prefer Old Trafford if the game was going to kick-off at 5.15 on a Saturday night. You must think about the convenience factor for your fans.

‘œAt the same time, the ticket allocation is another important thought. Old Trafford has a capacity of over 68,000 with further work still going on, but more could be accommodated in Cardiff.

‘œAll in all, I’m happy with Old Trafford. The great tradition has been for the semis to be played at club venues and I’m looking forward to the Chelsea challenge. Now that we are out of Europe, it would be a wonderful thing if we could go all the way in the FA Cup to reward our fans for their support.’
