After demolishing Rangers 4-0 at Ibrox in spectacular fashion, Liverpool start to wind-up their pre-season preparations with a trip to Norway.
In their penultamate friendly, Rafael Benitez’s men take on Valerenga on Tuesday night, a week before their Champions League Qualifier against Belgium’s Standard Liege.
Benitez is without the injured Philipp Degen and Olympic trio Ryan Babel, Lucas Leiva and Javier Mascherano – part from that there’s a full squad to choose from. The likes of Reina, Torres and Gerrard are expected to play over 45 minutes to build their match fitness levels.
