Yossi and Agger happy at Anfield

Two players recently linked with moves away from Anfield have insisted they are happy at Liverpool. Centre back Daniel Agger has been linked with AC Milan and Real Madrid, while midfielder Yossi Benayoun was linked with Spartak Moscow after he had spoken out about his lack of first team opportunities.

Agger missed the draw with West Ham but is likely to be recalled against Blackburn, despite Sami Hyypia’s impressive performance.

Agger is struggling to find the form he had two seasons ago before missing most of the last campaign and admits “Maybe I am not there yet, but I will be soon,” while insisting ‘œOutside of the pitch I’m really happy. The people in Liverpool are so friendly. I feel at home.”

He said of his form and fitness “Of course sometimes it’s difficult but you have to keep working hard to improve yourself and that’s what I am trying to do.”

‘œIt has been difficult with the injury last year but that’s the past. Hopefully I’ll be back to 100 per cent soon. It’s difficult to compare to how I was before, and I know there are some things I need to improve, but I can feel myself getting better and better with every game.”

While Benayoun’s agent responded to rumours saying, “Yossi is happy at Liverpool, he played the full 90 minutes on Monday against West Ham.

“Benayoun wants to remain in the best league in the world, with Liverpool, to continue to battle for the title, which this year the club is closer than ever to winning.”
