Good omen for Sunday

Liverpool’s Reserves set a good omen for this Sunday’s first team Premier League game between Liverpool and Newcastle Utd at Anfield by demolishing The Magpies’ Reserves 5-1 in Warrington last night.

The result means Gary Ablett’s side will not finish bottom of the Barclay’s Reserves Premier League North this season.

The Reserves matched the first team’s result against the Geordies at St James’ Park earlier this season when they triumphed to an emphatic 5-1 victory.

Goals last night came from Mikel San Jose, David Ngog (pictured), Damien Plessis and two from second half substitute, Daniel Pacheco.

Liverpool Reserves: Dean Bouzanis, Philipp Degen (Emmanuel Gomis Mendy 70), Stephen Darby, Mikel San Jose Dominguez, Daniel Ayala, Victor Palsson, Damien Plessis, Andras Simon, Gerardo Bruna, Nabil El Zhar (Daniel Pacheco 65), David Ngog (Nikola Saric 80). Unused subs: Martin Hansen, Vincent Weijl.
