Line-up vs Portsmouth: Dossena gets nod

Italian Andrea Dossena gets a rare start for Liverpool today as they face Portsmouth in the 12.45pm kick-off at Fratton Park.

The Italian comes into the Reds’ midfield with his fellow countryman Alberto Aquilani out injured.

Liverpool also welcome back Fernando Torres and Glen Johnson to the starting line-up

Jamie Carragher makes his 600th appearance for the club, becoming only the ninth player ever to achieve such a feat in a Liverpool shirt.

After snow yesterday, the weather in Portsmouth today is clear but at a chilly 1°C.
