Midfielder Christian Poulsen is expected to make his Liverpool league debut against West Brom at Anfield on Sunday.

The Danish midfielder arrived from Juventus this month and has so far only featured in the two Europa League games against Trabzonspor. He is expected to line-up alongside Lucas Leiva in midfield, allowing Steven Gerrard to return to a more advanced role.

New boss Roy Hodgson’s strategy of naming his side to the squad the day before the match means the recent line-ups have been leaked online.

Daniel Agger will continue at left back while Milan Jovanovic will come back in to left midfield.

Expected line-up: Reina; Johnson, Carragher, Skrtel, Agger; Lucas, Poulsen; Kuyt, Gerrard, Jovanovic; Torres.
