LFC Line-up vs Aston Villa: Doni in net, Suarez & Kuyt up front

Alexander Doni makes his Liverpool debut this afternoon, standing in for the suspended Pepe Reina in the Reds’ 3pm kick-off against Aston Villa at Anfield.

Kenny Dalglish‘s men are looking to turn around recent bad form in the league, with six defeats in the last seven league games and a dismal 2-0 defeat at Newcastle last Sunday.

Jon Flanagan keeps his place at right-back with Glen Johnson still sidelined, whilst Jamie Carragher is again preferred to Sebastian Coates in central defence alongside Martin Skrtel.

Jordan Henderson, Jonjo Shelvey and Stewart Downing join captain Steven Gerrard in midfield, whilst Luis Suarez is supported by Dirk Kuyt up front.

Daniel Agger returns to the bench following injury.
