Liverpool v Queens Park Rangers
Premier League; Sunday, 19th May 2013, 4pm kick off

QPR

By any standards, QPR have had a terrible season. Harry Redknapp couldn’t save them and his interview after the calamitous match against Newcastle revealed that he is thoroughly fed up with the majority of the players there. They are without a win since the 9th of March and have conceded 14 goals in their last eight matches. We can expect a fire sale in the summer and judging by last weekend’s performance, most of them have given up already.

Liverpool

Liverpool are now unbeaten in seven and have scored eleven goals in their last four Premier League outings. Coutinho continues to go from strength to strength (check out that pass for Sturridge’s third against Fulham) and the defence is rock solid, conceding only four goals in their last seven games. Brendan Rodgers will certainly be looking to strengthen the squad in the Summer but many of his players have caught the eye in recent weeks and will want to leave a good impression on both the manager and the Anfield faithful on Sunday

As ever, in the absence of Luis Suarez, Daniel Sturridge will be Liverpool’s main man. His hat-trick last weekend, his first in professional football, will have done his confidence no harm whatsoever and he’ll be looking for a strong final performance to remind Rodgers just what a good buy he was this season. He’s now up to eleven goals for Liverpool this season and who would bet against him making it an even dozen in front of the home crowd on Sunday?

And there it is. It’s your last chance this season to GET IN so pick Daniel Sturridge (unless you know better) and five others and if they all score this weekend then you walk off with the jackpot.
