Ever since Brendan Rodgers was filmed on the documentary series “Being: Liverpool” holding three envelopes which he said contained the names of players who would “let us down this year” supporters have pondered just who were the names inside the envelopes.
Well, sorry to disappoint, but quite predictably – there were no names.
In an interview with ESPN, Rodgers was asked the question and responded “There were no names”.
In all honesty, it’s as many expected and predicted.
Last year, The Daily Mail explained how the psychological trick had been used by Alex Ferguson back in 1993.
The stunt had goalkeeper Pepe Reina last year saying he was confident he wasn’t in the envelopes.
