“Just be thankful it’s not an ACL” – Liverpool supporters react to Sadio Mane injury update

With Sadio Mane‘s season now likely over due to a knee injury, Liverpool supporters are left clinging to the hope the Reds can perform without him.

Mane left the field just before the hour mark in Saturday’s Merseyside derby, with scans now revealing the extent of the damage suffered at Anfield.

According to reports, Liverpool are set to decide within the next 48 hours whether to go ahead with surgery for the 24-year-old, with Mane to spend the rest of the season on the sidelines if so.

Without their top goalscorer and one of their most consistent performers, the Reds now face a fight to keep up their Champions League push.

Here’s how supporters reacted to Mane’s likely two-month layoff on social media.
