Confirmed Liverpool lineup vs. Man United: Clyne and Keita start at Anfield

Jurgen Klopp has made four changes to his Liverpool lineup for the home Premier League game against Man United on Sunday.

The Reds head into the game knowing they need a win against their arch-rivals to move back to the top of the table, after Man City saw off Everton on Saturday.

Klopp’s team has been changed up of late as the manager juggled his resources for a heavy league programme last week, and the win over Napoli in midweek in the Champions League.

Four wins in succession put the Reds right in form heading into this crunch clash at Anfield—and the strong lineup reflects the importance of the match.

Alisson remains in goal and the majority of the back line picks itself ahead of him.

Injuries mean it’s the last duo standing of Virgil van Dijk and Dejan Lovren at centre-back, while Andy Robertson remains at left-back.

On the right is where Klopp had a decision to make and Nathaniel Clyne comes in for his first league appearance of the season.

In midfield, Fabinho, Gini Wijnaldum and Naby Keita all start.

And the big-name front three all start with Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane in the lineup.

Klopp has confirmed that James Milner misses the match with a muscle strain and that Rafa Camacho is “next choice” after Clyne for right-back.

United have gone with a defensive outlook in the centre of the park, while Juan Mata, Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial are all on the bench.

Liverpool: Alisson; Clyne, Lovren, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Keita; Mane, Firmino, Salah.

Substitutes: Mignolet, Henderson, Sturridge, Moreno, Lallana, Shaqiri, Camacho.

Man United: De Gea; Dalot, Smalling, Lindelof, Darmian; Herrera, Matic; Rashford, Lingard, Young; Lukaku.

Substitutes: Romero, Bailly, Valencia, Fellaini, Mata, Pogba, Martial.
