Liverpool’s exciting 17-year-old winger Sheyi Ojo won man of the match on his professional debut – despite only playing the final half an hour for loan club Wigan Athletic!
Very happy to get my @laticsofficial debut and to win Wigan Man of the match! Disappointed with the result! #Faith pic.twitter.com/p3piftDrzW

- See where Liverpool sit in relation to other Premier League clubs based on net spend over their last six transfer windows.
Ojo joined the Latics last week just before the transfer deadline for the rest of the campaign. He replaced Chris Herd with 30 minutes remaining when Malky MacKay’s side were 3-0 down against Bournemouth to make his first ever senior appearance for a club.
The former MK Dons youth product was named among Liverpool’s subs for their match against Burnley on boxing day but is yet to make his first team debut for the club.

Ojo and Liverpool will be hoping he can have a similarly successful loan period as Jordon Ibe had at Derby County in the opening half of the season. Ibe returned early from Derby County and made his first start since 2013 in the Merseyside derby.
