Video: Jamie Carragher turns the attention on FSG after Rodgers sacking

Former Liverpool duo Jamie Carragher and Graeme Souness were live on Sky Sports when news of Brendan Rodgers’ sacking was announced.

Carragher and Souness both note that the Liverpool owners, FSG, should have sacked Rodgers in the summer if they weren’t happy.

Carragher highlighted FSG’s failings, saying “They’ve made a lot of decisions since they’ve come, that haven’t worked.

Carragher highlights the appointment, then sackings of Damien Comolli and Kenny Dalglish, as well as the failings of the transfer committee.

“At this moment the owners of the football club’s track record in making decisions for Liverpool Football Club over the last two or three years has not been good enough. It’s miles off.”

On Rodgers’ sacking, Carragher says “I’d have preferred that they’d done it in the summer.”
