Injury prone Brazilian left back who can also play left midfield, Aurelio has impressed at times but is seen as squad player rather than a first team regular following the injuries he has persistently struggled with since arriving at Anfield on a free transfer in summer 2006 from Rafa Benitez‘s former club, Valencia.
Aurelio scored his first goal for the club against Bolton in March 2008.
The 2008/09 season saw him score memorable free-kicks at Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge, the highlights of his Liverpool career to-date.
