Liverpool reportedly scout Inaki Williams again

Liverpool reportedly had scouts in attendance at Athletico Bilboa’s La Liga match against Sevilla last week, with Inaki Williams the subject of their interest.

Williams, 22, has been linked with a move to Merseyside in recent weeks, as Jurgen Klopp looks towards adding to his squad in the summer.

According to a report in Italy, Juventus are also scouting the young Spaniard.

Williams reportedly has a 50 million euro (£43 million) release clause, but a deal for the Basque-born player. A previous report has explained how dealing with Athletico is complicated and would require lots of groundwork on a deal to be done early.

Williams has five goals and seven assists in 36 appearances in all competitions this season. He’s a versatile, pacy attacker who can play anywhere in the front three.

He could be viewed either as a replacement for Daniel Sturridge, or as a fast wide option to reduce the reliance on Sadio Mane next season.
