Liverpool midfielder Harry Kewell has denied speculation linking him with a move away from Anfield this summer.
Kewell has played most games, starting on the left of midfield, for the Reds this season but could start to face competition for his place from Dutch winger Bolo Zenden who will return from injury in time for next season.
Recently reports in the media have linked the Australian international with a move to Aston Villa and several clubs in Spain including Villarreal, who are also interested in Arsenal’s Robert Pires.
Some reports even suggested a move to a London club because his wife, actress Sheree Murphy, wants to further her career since leaving the soap ‘˜Emmerdale’ several years ago.
But Kewell insists he’s staying put. “I think if you read over the last months half the things I have been linked with and doing then I don’t think I would be here at all,” said Kewell.
“So you cannot believe everything you see in the papers. If they come to see me and speak to me or speak to the boss hopefully it’s all rubbish.
“From my side it is and hopefully from Liverpool’s it is as well.”
